Pure Heart Staffing is recruiting board-certified Family Medicine physicians (MD/DO) for a rare opening-team opportunity with a 50-year nonprofit, tribally operated Federally Qualified Health Center serving roughly 25,000 patients across Placer and Nevada counties in Northern California. You’d start as soon as credentialed at the established Auburn campus, then transfer to a brand-new $58 million, 62,000-square-foot health center in Rocklin when it opens, targeted for March 2027 — helping shape workflows, culture, and the patient experience from day one.
Why physicians like this role
- Build, don’t inherit. The new Rocklin site is expected to add roughly 15,000 patients and about 150 new hires. At least two physicians are being hired for this path — early hires shape the clinic as it grows.
- Outpatient family medicine, done right. Adult and pediatric primary care, chronic disease management, and minor procedures inside an integrated team — no hospital rounds, no inpatient census.
- Integrated, whole-person care. Medical, dental, behavioral health, SUD services, optometry, pharmacy, and diabetes care under one roof — warm hand-offs down the hall.
- Mission you can feel. Care for Native American and underserved communities at a stable nonprofit with a 50-year foundation and a genuine growth story.
Schedule & compensation
- Start at the Auburn campus; transfer to Rocklin at opening (targeted March 2027).

Who qualifies
- MD or DO with an active California medical license and DEA registration.
- Board certified in Family Medicine — required for all medical providers at this health center.
- Two or more years of clinical experience in direct primary care preferred; 2026–2027 graduating residents are a strong fit for the Rocklin timeline.
- The opening-team mindset: initiative, ownership, adaptability, cross-discipline collaboration, and a genuine desire to build something new — the client hires for this as much as for technical skill.
