Pure Heart Staffing recruited a full-time general dentist for a nonprofit Federally Qualified Health Center serving Sacramento County, with clinic sites in North Highlands, Rancho Cordova, and Oak Park. The organization wanted a dentist who prefers steady general dentistry and a predictable schedule over high-production private practice.

  • Paid time off: 16 to 20 days, plus 11 paid holidays and 6 sick days.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, with the employer-funded health expense card.
  • Combined value of salary, benefits, and loan repayment: roughly $210,000 or more per year.

The day to day

General dentistry for pediatric and adult patients: exams, preventive care, and routine restorative procedures, about 20 patients a day. The dentist educates patients on oral health and treatment plans, works alongside dental assistants and clinic staff, and documents in EPIC. The payer mix is largely Medi-Cal Dental, and the work rotates across the organization’s Sacramento County dental sites.

Who qualified

  • Active California DDS or DMD license.
  • At least one year of clinical experience.
  • Comfortable treating patients of all ages, including children.
  • Able to work on site across multiple Sacramento County clinics.
  • A fit for the culture: mission-driven, steady, and happy to leave high-pressure private practice behind.
