MEMBERSHIP AND MARKETING SPECIALIST The Membership and Marketing Specialist position will support the California Trucking Association and its 12-person team on organizational strategies for membership recruitment, retention, and external member communication. Opportunity to gain experience in all aspects of membership marketing strategies, including and not limited to membership recruitment and retention campaigns. Responsibilities: Assist in implementing CTAs Membership Recruitment and Retention Plan. The plan includes recruitment campaigns and marketing strategies, research (target audience), and key staff/volunteer members. Point of contact for prospective member inquiries via phone, email, contact-us forms, and in-person events. Responsible for prospective member follow up and stewardship. Provides administrative support for membership database input, and membership dues collection to meet revenue and retention goals. Regularly use membership database to generate reports to track and analyze membership results. Assist with development of the associations Annual Membership Directory. Assists with Social Media account maintenance. Support Business Development and grant efforts and assists with partner contracts. Other duties as assigned. This position also assists in collaborative efforts and projects throughout the organization as needed. Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge and experience in customer service. Excellent communications skills listening, speaking, and writing. Knowledge of non-profit marketing and communications concepts a plus. Knowledge of the association field and overall trends a plus. Demonstrated hands-on experience and knowledge of related technology (typical virtual meeting platforms, association management systems/databases, social media platforms, etc.). Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.). Self-starter well organized with strong time-management skills. Team-oriented and well-organized with willingness to learn new skills. Requirements: BA or BS degree (preferred in a related field). Valid California Drivers license and proof of insurance.
