Medical Respite Care Program Nurse (LVN or RN) Auburn, CA | Full-Time | Non-Exempt Are you a compassionate nurse who wants to make a real difference? Our Medical Respite Care Program (MRCP) provides a safe place for guests to recover from illness or injury, and we’re seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our care team. What You’ll Do: -- Provide direct nursing care and advocate for patients’ best interests. -- Assist guests with recovery plans and physician aftercare instructions. -- Support infection control, medication handling, and safety protocols. -- Conduct hospital assessments, discharge planning, and treatment coordination. -- Lead monthly health awareness groups for guests. -- Document care, maintain HIPAA compliance, and report safety concerns. -- Collaborate with program staff, physicians, and community resources. What We’re Looking For: -- Current LVN or RN license (California). -- 3+ years nursing experience (experience with homeless or underserved populations a plus). -- Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills. -- Compassion, professionalism, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Schedule: Full-time, generally Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. Some weekends and evenings may be required.
